When we bought La Bedina at the end of 2004 it was in very poor condition having been abandoned by its previous owners when they went to America at the end of World War 2. Fortunately as no rebuilding or modernisation had ever been carried out the house still maintained its original structure both internally and externally. The previous owners had only used La Bedina as a chicken house, stable for their mules, and seccatoio (drying room) for chestnuts.
The following are a collection of images that show La Bedina as it was before we began
restoration.
